Rev. Yoshiaki Fukuda's

50th Memorial Anniversary Service

 

On November 18, 2007, the Konko Church of San Francisco held its Ikigami Konko Daijin Grand Ceremony in conjunction with the 50th Memorial Anniversary Service for the late
Rev. Yoshiaki Fukuda, the first and founding Head Minister of the Church.

Over 200 people attended the service and reception that day, representing all of the Konko Churches in North America and several which he was associated with in Japan.

A DVD and Remembrance book with stories and testimonials of Rev. Fukuda's life were published to commemorate this significant occasion.

  

 

Also, one of his books, Shinja no Kokoroe, was translated into English by church members (retitled as Live with Faith) and given to attendees as a reminder of the powerfully straightfoward and relevant teachings he shared during his time. Together, this set provides a deeper insight into the man who would become greatly influential to so many people.
