Practice
Practice faith conscientiously.
Those who make excuses by saying
that they practice faith at home
are beginning to lose their faith.

Faith is not tangible, so it is difficult to tell how much or what kind of faith we have. In addition, Konko faith has no definite set practices, disciplines, or exercises that all must follow. In this sense, it is very easy for some people to make many excuses, become careless and become neglectful in their practice of faith.
We often say that we practice faith in our heart, so we do not need to go to church. In this teaching, Konko Daijin reminds us not to make excuses by saying that we practice faith at home or by ourselves. Such excuses will harm and hold back the development of faith. To practice faith is to sincrely express our faith in the actions and deeds of our lives.
We of the Konko faith often use the term "do faith" instead of "have faith". We try to practice faith in all aspects of our life - while working, studying and even while playing. We believe we have faith when we practice faith at all times. Practicing faith is to use it actively to improve our lives and the lives of those around us.
