Tenchi Kane no Kami has existed since the beginning of time. 

He did not appear in the middle of history.  Even if you don't practice faith, you have already received Kami's blessings.

Many people think that blessings can be received only if they practice faith and pray.  However, it is not necessarily one's practice of faith that makes it possible to receive divine blessings.  Each one of us is constantly receiving blessings, but most of us are simply unaware of this fact.  Heaven & Earth are filled with divine virtue, and all living things are bestowed with divine blessings.  We are alive and able to live just because we live within Heaven & Earth.  Our lives are protected and sustained by Tenchi Kane No Kami.

Tenchi Kane No Kami is the name of the deity who loves and embraces all things, both living and inanimate, within Heaven & Earth.  People, therefore, have always lived amidst these blessings of Kami, and will always live through Kami's blessings.

Practicing Konko faith is to recognize and try to understand this fact that our lives are completely immersed in divine blessings.  Konko faith is to live our daily lives with Tenchi Kane No Kami in our hearts at all times, and in all situations.  Through this realization, the Konko Faith teaches us how to live joyfully and pleasantly in our society.
