Blessings

“When practicing faith, there are more blessings which cannot be seen than those which can be seen.”

Divine blessings or “blessings” are the wondrous gifts all people receive each day that allows us to live: sun, air, rain, food, shelter, our heartbeat.

Our Founder said, “When practicing faith, there are more blessings which cannot be seen than those which can be seen. The blessings you unknowingly receive, number more than the blessings you knowingly receive. If you think about it, you will come to realize the many divine blessings that you have received. If you can do this,
you are a true believer” (GII: Tsugawa Haruo, 14).

There are so many things we take for granted. Train your heart to focus on appreciating the blessings you are receiving first, then your complaints and problems will diminish, “You learn to appreciate your sight when you
lose it. You learn to appreciate your legs and feet when you can’t use them. Appreciate the normal functioning of your eyes, legs and feet. Your normal bodily functions and five senses are blessings from Kami” (Live with Faith 9:9). How much brighter would our lives be if we could come to see everything as a blessing?
